SEO Scam Warning!

Before you part with your hard earned cash with a “cheaper” SEO provider just pause and think. Why so cheap?

Usually its because it’s a scam. Run by con-artists promising the earth for just a few dollars. Things like “We submit your website to 1000 search engines…” Yea, submitted to dead non functioning search engines that nobody uses. Or they offer to “submit your site to 300 directories”, again they are submitted to directories that no one looks in and Google ignors. You will see that for the UK that Google dominates the search engine market and taking over 90% of all searches conducted by UK internet users. While Yahoo, Bing (was MSN Live Search) and Ask take only 6.96% of the search market. Interestingly after Microsoft changed MSN Live Search to Bing, there has been an increase in usage, we will wait and see if they erode into Googles lion share of the Search Market.

Effective SEO that actually works is based on a mix of  roll-up your sleeves, get your hands dirty hard repetitive graft, a  continuing process of research, testing, tracking and monitoring along with on-going education, training to keep up with the latest changes.

The Internet and search engine optimisation techniques never stand still for long. Google make 3 to 4 changes a year to it’s search algorithm and sometimes (most of the time) they will have minor impact on your websites rankings. But when they pull a “Slap” out the bag you have to be on your toes and be ready to make whatever changes needed to keep your site competitive and top of the rankings.

SEO should never be seen as a “Do Once And Forget” job. You have to continualy work at it to maintain your rankings.
