Twitter For Business

If you haven’t herd Twitter is MASIVE. The growth in the number of users is truly amazing.

In 2007 there were “just” 340,000 users,  by May 2008 that number had grown to over 1,000,000 (1 million) users. Then things have gotten very interesting, it is estimated (Comcast) that in July 2009 the number of active unique visitors to Twitter has gown to over 51 Million.

Twitter, in a leaked report, has estimated that by the end of 2013, there will be a staggering 1 Billion users world-wide.

So, how can that help you and your business? Well, if you keep your head burred in the sand then not much. But if you grasp the potential opertunities then you could be setting up your business for long term growth and success.

Twitter should not be seen as a “magic bullet” to growing your business or as a tool for fixing underlying issues with your businesses marketing.  It should be seen as another weapon in your marketing armoury, another mechenisum you can use to connect with your clients and your market place.

Should you be using Twitter for your business?

Before jumping into using Twitter for your business, you should take time and dig deep into what you can use Twitter for and if it is worth your time and effort in implementing a “Business Twitter Strategy” or if you should just use Twitter for personal fun.
